STILL I RISE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL - NAIROBI

Located in Mathare, one of the most overcrowded informal settlements in the African continent, Still I Rise International School – Nairobi is the first in the world to offer in its middle school and high school the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework specifically to refugee and vulnerable children completely free of charge.

We are the first in history to have successfully democratized the education of the élite and made it accessible to the most underprivileged, aiming to raise responsible global citizens and shape a new leading class with the necessary skills and the social awareness to build a better world for everyone. Since 2024, the School has been officially recognized as an IB World School, placing it among the world’s leading institutions.

STILL I RISE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL - BOGOTÀ

We raise passionate, caring and brave leaders to shape a peaceful tomorrow through the best quality education. At Still I Rise International School – Bogotà we change the world, one child at a time.

Located in Ciudad Bolivar, one of the most overcrowded favelas in Latin America, Still I Rise International School – Bogotà opened its doors in January 2024 to welcome local vulnerable children, Venezuelan refugees as well as the internally displaced. This is the second School to join the Still I Rise International Schools ecosystem, where we offer world-class education to refugee and destitute children, completely free of charge.

Here we aim to raise responsible global citizens and shape a new leading class with the skills and the social awareness to build a better world for everyone. The school is currently a candidate to become an IB World School® for the Middle Years Programme.

STILL I RISE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL - MUMBAI

We are working on opening our next International School in India, in Mumbai. India is a return to our roots for us: our CEO Nicolò Govoni did his first volunteer experience there, which then marked his stay in India for 4 years and the beginning of his work that eventually led to the founding of Still I Rise.

Why Mumbai?

Mumbai is the economic center of India: vibrant, eclectic and cosmopolitan, millions of people converge on Mumbai from many areas of the country. Yet, this prosperity coexists with extreme income disparities, with a substantial portion of the population living in slums in conditions of hardship and extreme poverty. Worn-out child labor, human trafficking, and desperate sanitary conditions are the harsh reality for tens of thousands of children in Mumbai. Our School is going to serve them, the forgotten children.

Our International School

After registering the organization’s legal entity in the country and encountering significant challenges in finding a building truly suited to our needs, in October 2024 we took a decisive step and commissioned a construction project to a specialized local partner. The Mumbai campus will be the first Still I Rise International School built entirely from the ground up in line with the aesthetic standards that characterize our educational facilities: a bold and innovative move that marks an important milestone in our history. STILL I RISE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL - ITALY

Italy is our home. It has always been our dream to open a Still I Rise school there. We work in countries where access to public schools is extremely limited for vulnerable and refugee children. In Italy this is not the case, yet one only has to look at the data to see that schools in Italy are facing a real emergency.

Why Italy?

Italian students rank first among the most anxious in the world. Italy is at the top of the OECD rankings for stress at school desks, and 75% of Italian teachers haven't attended any training courses at the school they teach at after qualifying. The OECD average is 58%. Italy is 121st in the world.

Our International School

We want to open an International School of the highest level, where refugee and vulnerable Italian students can become the leaders of tomorrow. We don't want to replace public schools, but we want to do what we can to improve them. We owe it to our boys and girls, and to all teachers.
